Nagykutas község címere
(Zala megye)

Kék alapú háromszögű pajzs, a pajzstalpon zöld hármas halom, rajta ezüst Szent Jakab áll, feje körül glória, jobb kezében a halomig érő, hosszú szárú vándorbotot tart, ruháján kagyló. A címer alatt 1211-es évszám, valamint arany szalagon Nagykutas felirat.
Szent Jakab a község templomának védőszentje - a XV. századi metszet alapján ábrázolva - ruháján a kagyló gyakori ikonográfiai jelölése. A hármas halom azt a három dombot jelöli, melyen a község megtelepült. Az 1211-es  évszám a település legkorábbi említésének időpontja.

Triangular shield azure. The standing figure of St Jacob argent is borne on a triple mound vert. Around his head a glory, in his dexter hand he is holding a long stick, shell appears on his clothes. Below the coat-of-arms the date 1211 and the motto Nagykutas are borne on a scroll or.
St Jacob is the patron saint of the village church and represented according to the engraving from the 15th century. The shell on his clothes is a usual iconographic mark. The triple mound represents those tree hill on which the settlement was founded. The date 1211 is the date of the first mention of the village.
